Alexa is a history major and a public policy minor with a concentration in behavioral economics. Hailing from Golden, Colorado, she is a mountain climber and a news junkie curious about how public-private partnerships can reinvigorate civic engagement. Alexa pairs her love of the mountains with her love of the Upper Valley as a ski patroller at the Dartmouth Skiway. As a Presidential Scholar, she explored the legacy of the Vietnam War on the Dartmouth community through oral histories. Alexa’s interests have taken her across three continents during her time at Dartmouth, from the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC to BraveHearts Expeditions in Accra, Ghana to independent historical research in London, UK. After graduating, Alexa hopes to travel further and farther and to leverage principles of design to move the needle forward on stubborn social issues.
